Dr. Emma Rich - Veterinarian

${name}

Dr. Emma Rich is a Georgia native and grew up in Marietta, where, from an early age, she dreamed of becoming a veterinarian.

She graduated cum laude from the University of Georgia with a bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences. Dr. Rich loved Athens and the Bulldawgs so much that she continued her education at UGA’s College of Veterinary Medicine where she earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 2019. During her clinical training she completed a diverse array of externships including time at the Georgia Aquarium, Atlanta Humane Society, and Exotic & Avian specialty hospitals.

After graduating, she worked in private practice in Atlanta for 3 years, and recently moved to Louisville, KY in 2022. Her clinical interests include preventative medicine, ophthalmology, dermatology, and exotic medicine.

Her animal family includes three dogs: Larry, a Maltese mix, Ally, a spunky terrier mix, and Samantha, a toy poodle. Additionally, she has two (very fluffy) Lionhead rabbits: Attila the Bun and Scarlett O’ Hare. In her spare time, she loves traveling (especially to the beach), spending time outdoors, and attending rock concerts. She strives to work with care and compassion to strengthen the human-animal bond and loves meeting new patients and their owners alike.
